The Perfect
Summer Date Day in Denver
If love is in the air, head outside to enjoy the warm summer sun that’s sure to welcome you in the Mile High City.
1. Stroll the Streets of a Farmers Market
Start your day by meandering through the South Pearl Street Farmers Market, where you can sample goodies and stock up on items you’ll use for your picnic (more on that in a minute). The South Pearl Street Farmers Market is a great place to stroll from vendor to vendor as you hold hands with your special person and say hello to your neighbors. As Denverites, we love to support small local businesses, and you’ll find plenty of great companies you’ll love along the street on South Pearl all summer long.
2. Where to Picnic
Once you’ve found the food you
can’t live without, it’s time to head home and pack up a picnic basket. Denver’s
known for its beautiful outdoor spaces, so you’ve got plenty of parks to choose
from. If you want to stick close to the center of the city, head to Wash Park
or Cheeseman Park where you’ll find lots of furry friends and friendly faces
enjoying the green spaces, too. If you’re up for a short drive, Chatfield State
Park offers swimming, hiking, bike trails and stunning scenery. Not sure how to
plan the perfect picnic? Check out this great guide
